Dark Blue James Ellroy-inspired story of corrupt cops in LA, starring Kurt Russell

Plot Veteran LAPD officer Eldon Perry is as tough as the streets he 'protects', bending the rules to take down the bad guys. But as the city simmers in the hours before the LA riots, Perry realises that he could be sacrificed by cops far more corrupt than he is. Verdict Clumsy exposition and flat dialogue stop Ayer's screenplay from doing Ellroy justice. Russell, however, joins Nick Nolte (The Good Thief) and Ray Liotta (Narc) in proving that, for character actors needing a career boost, crime does pay.
