The Hours Superbly played interwoven tale of Virginia Woolf and two other women later in history who are affected by her work.

Plot In 1923, Virgina Woolf is fighting mental illness and writer's block, as she struggles with her latest novel, Mrs. Dalloway. The book will later play a role in the lives of two other women: repressed '50s housewife Laura Brown and modern-day socialite Clarissa Vaughan. Verdict Wonderfully acted, elegantly written and tightly directed, but by breaking the spell of its opening mood it becomes the kind of worthy Bohemian melodrama it promises not to be.
