Kate And Leopold (12) Plot Leopold, the third Duke of Albany (Jackman), is transported from 19th to 21st century Manhattan when he gives chase to mysterious scientist Stuart (Schreiber). There he meets and falls for Stuart's ex, career gal Kate (Ryan). But will he return to his own time? Verdict Despite a promising premise, Jackman's Golden Globe-nominated performance remains the only tangible reason to see this movie. A nonsensical plot, a too-predictably cast Ryan, and an underused supporting cast result in a movie that quickly tips the scales.
