We Were Soldiers

Plot November, 1965. Trained in the new art of air-mobile warfare under the command of Lt. Col. Hal Moore, the 1st Battalion of the 7th Air Cavalry ride by helicopter into the Ia Drang Valley, to engage with the People’s Army of North Vietnam in the first major battle of the Vietnam War... Verdict Some very corny dialogue is made up for by dramatic visuals and committed performances in an unflinching and moving depiction of men fighting for each other.
