The Mummy Returns More Egyptian action as the evil Imhotep climbs from his tomb to wreak havok once more

Plot Eight years after Imhotep was first reincarnated, he is once again brought to life and embarks upon a quest for immortality and world domination, this time by trying to overcome another recently resurrected evil force, The Scorpion King. The only people who can stop him? Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, now married and living in London with their eight-year-old son, Alex. Verdict Those who disliked the first movie will find nothing here to persuade them that this is a franchise worth bothering with. Those who enjoyed the good humour and easy-going escapism of the first, however, will find that The Mummy Returns, while not as instantly likeable, offers enough to placate them until the inevitable next instalment arrives.
