Cop Land Stallone does serious opposite De Niro and Keitel

Plot Freddy Heflin always wanted to be a cop, but because he is partially deaf, can go no higher than being a local sheriff in a town where many cops live. Gradually, however, Freddy begins to realise that some of the cops he idolises are not as honest as he is. Verdict A good effort, but the star power on show throws the proceedings off kilter somewhat, hiking up an expectation that the film ultimately cannot live up to.
