Plot
Danny Flynn (Day-Lewis) is separated from his sweetheart for 14 years for being involved in IRA terrorist activity. When he gets out he finds she is married with a child, though her husband has also gone away for "The Cause", what ensues is the tale of a man trying to rebuild his life in the face of so many contemporary pressures.
