The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Plot
Tampico, 1925 and Fred C. Dobbs and Bob Curtin hook up with Klondike veteran Howard to go gold prospecting in Mexico's Sierra Madre mountains. However, a growing sense of greedy paranoia and the intrusion of covetous strangers Cody and Gold Hat drive the trio apart.
Verdict
Like The Searchers, this is so brilliant that the only real effect of the other versions is to make you want to watch the original again.
