The Pool Aka Indian Movie

Plot Chris Smith's (Collapse and American Movie) doc follows a Goan called Venkatesh Chavan as he moves to the city looking for work. Chancing on a big country estate with a swimming pool, he becomes close to the owner who challenges him to fulfill his potential in Mumbai. Verdict The talented Smith returns to the social concerns of his earlier documentary, American Movie, to forge a fascinating narrative set in modern-day Indian and full of insights into a class-riven country.
