Ill Manors There Will Be Blud

Plot Forest Gate, London. As drug dealer Kirby (Keith Coggins) is released from prison, young Jake (Ryan De La Cruz) is accepted by a local gang and another dealer, Ed (Ed Skrein), searches for his lost mobile phone with Aaron (Ahmed). Their stories become interlinked with those of a would-be teen model, a crack-addicted prostitute, a runaway single mother and a vengeful dealer. Verdict As gritty, urban British crime dramas go, this
is a good ’un. It may be slow in parts and its heart-sinking scenarios won’t fill you with
cheer, but it has bags of style and a terrific soundtrack from promising debut director Drew. It might just kickstart a few acting careers, too.
