A miniature of epic proportions

Fourteen year-old Arrietty Clock (Ronan) lives with her parents, Pod (Strong) and Homily (Colman), in a house in suburban Tokyo. Or rather, they live secretly beneath the floorboards of that house, as the three of them are Borrowers: tiny people who scavenge off the unwanted scraps left by the “human beans”. Their precarious life is sent into disarray when the house receives a visitor, sick 12 year-old Sho (Holland), and he catches a glimpse of Arrietty...

A beautifully crafted, intimate adventure movie and — presented in hand-drawn 2D — one of the most visually arresting you’ll enjoy all year.
