Plot Stuntman Mike (Russell) drives a ‘death-proof’ car, reinforced so the driver can survive crashes. He stalks attractive young women, then arranges ‘accidents’ that only he walks away from. Until, one day, Mike jostles a car being taken for a test-drive by some girls who refuse to be terrorised.Verdict Seriously entertaining American filmmaking and definitely not the half-serious pastiche it could easily have been. No seatbelt, no airbag, no nuthin’ — just Tarantino driving wildly under the influence.
