Plot
As Little Joe and the extended family that lives with his parents rely on the radio to get them through the daily trials of life in Second World War Brooklyn, cigarette girl Sally White moves inexorably up the showbiz chain and becomes a celebrated gossip columnist.

Verdict
Humane and perceptive memoir from Allen, with a pleasant visual nostalgia and the usual slew of impressive performances.
