Plot
In the midst of the Boar War, three Australian officers, upon orders, execute their prisoners. Put on trial by a General Staff hoping to keep their distance from the atrocities of war, they put up a surprisingly strong defence, bringing into question the whole idea of military culpability.

Verdict
Intelligent and moving depiction of the futility of war with a superb script and mesmerising performances from all.
