Plot Dippy youngster Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) is caught in the race to find a holy relic of robots who adapt by ‘transforming’ into local vehicles. On one side are the decent, human-protecting Autobots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide and Jazz); on the other the cruel, destructive Decepticons (with Megatron, Starscream and Barricade). Activate!Verdict The script may have rubbery legs, but the action is rock-hard. The surprise is the lightness of touch: treat as a comedy for best results.
