Brideshead Revisited Evelyn Waugh classic not so inspired on the big screen

Plot Middle-class Charles Ryder (Goode) is dazzled at Oxford by dissolute youth Lord Sebastian Flyte (Whishaw) and then by Sebastian’s sister, Lady Julia (Atwell), their way of life and their palatial home, Brideshead. Verdict Okay for those who dote on ‘classics illustrated’ in the Merchant Ivory line, but not as fluid as all that.
