Plot
Detached from her parents, Fernando and Teresa, seven year-old Ana seeks solace from the deprivations of post-Civil War Spain in caring for the deserter who reminds her of the Monster she came to pity at the screening of James Whale's Frankenstein, which she attended with her older sister, Isabel.
