Plot
A gallery of Brooklyn's finest and filthiest undergo change (a hooker falls in love with her clients, a union boss discovers he's gay)against an imposing back drop of union corruption, violence and neon lighting.

Verdict
Despite feeling narratively let off the leash, Last Exit retains the passion of the novel, as well as the switch-blade characterisation.
