Brothers Solomon
Like Knocked Up but, y'know, not funny

submit to reddit

Plot
A pair of socially inept brothers try to find their perfect mates in order to provide their dying father with a grandchild.

Review
Brothers Solomon
Like the members of a rock supergroup taking a break to make solo albums, the current Saturday Night Live stars are all seizing the chance of a big-screen moment. Sadly, Will Forte and telly colleague Kristen Wiig score zero laughs with this infantile Farrellys wannabe.

In order to coax their father out of a coma, social misfit siblings Dean (Forte) and John (the normally dependable Will Arnett) pay a willing woman (Wiig) to supply him with a grandchild. Audiences will need an epidural to endure the excruciating pain of watching this geek-and-jerk combo stumble through three trimesters.

Verdict
Audiences will need an epidural to endure the excruciating pain of watching this geek-and-jerk combo stumble through three trimesters.

I used to think Empire knew what they were talking about

I used to value Empire's opinion on films, but this is about the 5th straight review that I completely disagree with. This film was really funny! I laughed out loud on several occasions! Seriously what was your problem with this movie!? ... More

Has mediocrity stamped all over it. Not good enough to match up to the "Knocked Up" and "Superbad"'s of the past year, not bad enough to make films like "Bratz" or "Epic Movie" appear to have gained any value. ... More
