Every now and then a film comes along that has absolutely no merit whatsoever. This is one such occasion...

Plot
On his latest assignment, FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Lawrence) goes undercover as Big Momma, and works as a nanny for an unhappy woman (Procter) who is under investigation for murder.


Review
Big Momma's House 2

When his old partner is killed, FBI agent Martin Lawrence gets back into fat old lady drag and goes undercover as a nanny in the house of a workaholic software designer (Emily Procter) mixed up in an evil plot. So the premise of the original BMH is spliced with Mrs Doubtfire as Lawrence sorts out the lives of the fouled-up kids and brings down the villains.

The first film was a huge hit, but you’d be hard-pressed to find many who were agitating for more. This sequel is formula pap, which manages the heroic achievement of being officially a comedy but raising not a single laugh. There are homilies about being good parents, chases and dance scenes that overwork the fat-old-lady-got-moves routine, and more of Martin Lawrence than even his actual mama could stand.


Verdict
Not as bad as Son of the Mask or Master of Disguise, but bottom-rung dreck all the same. Martin, please stop making films.
