The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
The Squeezy One makes a big screen appearance.

Plot
SpongeBob goes on a mission to defend the good name of his boss, and retrieve King Neptune's stolen crown.

Review
The yellow sponge, his rectilinear pantaloons and his buddy Patrick (a starfish) drive their sandwich on a mission to rescue Neptune's crown. Absorbing the half-witted irreverence that's made him a TV favourite, the perky parazoan from Bikini Bottom exposes plenty of cheek in his first feature-length adventure.

The story, in a clamshell, sees the yellow sponge, his rectilinear pantaloons and his buddy Patrick (a starfish) drive their sandwich on a mission to rescue Neptune's crown. With a surreal sense of silliness, the duo impart the message that it's okay to be a kid, though, aware that much of the audience is made up of students and stoners, SpongeBob's slapstick sea-larking washes away any sentiment. Sadly, he can't maintain his capering and the introduction of real humans sees the sponge-fun dry up.

Verdict
A film for kids, students, stoners, anyone who enjoys a break from reality.

Oooooh who lives in a pineapple under the sea...really funny from start to end, the conversion to the big screen isn't always something easy, spongebob made it without a scratch, I wasn't a fan of the tv show prior to the film, the film converted me, if nautical nonsense be something you wish you have to see this. ... More
