Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Posted on Monday August 11, 2008, 10:47 by Glen Ferris
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Despite the name suggesting to the contrary, Movie-Con isn't all about movies. No siree, we're covering all the entertainment bases over the weekend of August 16-17 and our latest development should get Star Wars fans rather excited.

Those very fine folks at LucasArts have granted us a world exclusive first public play demo of their hotly-anticipated new game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and you lucky people will get the chance to give a whirl for yourselves.

Well ahead of the UK release date of September 19 and long before anybody else in this country gets the chance to feel the force for themselves, Movie-Con ticket holders will be able to test run this magnificent new title - ain't we good to you?

This sounds promising. It shows that the Con is (hopefully) shaping up to be more varied. After reading reports of Comic - Con in the US I hear that there was a lot of freebies (t-shirts, posters, etc.) to be had hopefully there is some left over for us.
Also the drip feed of information is really frustrating I know its better to confirm stuff 100% before announcing it but I want to know!!!

I am loving the look at this. Was getting a bit worried about the lack of confirmed things going on but i am loving finding out bit by bit. Cannot wait to the weekend now!!

This game isn't doing anything for me; the engine they've created looks pretty cool but the combat dosn't look that great. I'll probably just rent it mysel.
