Based on real-life events (and chronicled in the eponymous book), the story introduces us to raucous brothers Mike (DeVine) and Dave (Efron) Stangle, who have developed a reputation for causing chaos at various events, especially nuptials.
Warned by their dad Burt (Stephen Root) that they'll have to grow up and act responsibly at their sister Jeanie's (Sugar Lyn Beard) upcoming Hawaiian wedding, the pair agree to a TV interview in the hopes of finding the perfect dates, with the idea that the women will be their excuse to have their usual fun.
What they don't count on is the pair they find - Alice (Anna Kendrick) and Tatiana (Aubrey Plaza) - turn out to be even wilder than they are...
Directed by Jake Szymanski from a script by Bad Neighbours duo Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, Mike And Dave represents Efron's other shot (besides the Bad Neighbours sequel) at leaving movie comedy jail after the box office bomb that was Dirty Grandpa. The film will be out this summer.
