Given that he spent seven seasons playing a tough-as-nails biker on Sons Of Anarchy, Tommy Flanagan feels like an ideal choice to be a Ravager in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. Writer/director James Gunn clearly agrees, and he's cast the Scottish actor in the Marvel space opera sequel.

Gunn is cranking the cameras now on the film, which reunites the original cast of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, voice-over duo Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel and the likes of Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan and Sean Gunn. New arrivals include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and a young, fresh-faced newcomer named Kurt Russell.

Flanagan will be working with Rooker as a member of Yondu's crew, and according to Heroic Hollywood, which dug up the casting nugget, the ruthless gang will have a bounty out on the wise-cracking Rocket Raccoon (Cooper), which will no doubt be troublesome for our heroes.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit our cinemas on April 28 next year, before heading to the States on May 5. Hopefully we'll be seeing more from it soon as Gunn shares imagery and stories from the production, which is happening in Atlanta.
