Though it seemed for a while as though the Creed sequel was a fever dream unspooling on Sylvester Stallone's Instagram page, Creed II is a reality, and with a trailer on the way tomorrow, the first poster is here to herald the footage.
With Michael B. Jordan back as Adonis Creed, the new movie finds him embracing his destiny as a boxer. With Rocky Balboa (Stallone) by his side as his trainer, Adonis must balance personal obligations (especially to Tessa Thompson's Bianca) and training, and this time finds himself plunged into a clash that has major resonance for his family. No matter where you go, you can't escape your history.
Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris and Andre Ward are all returning, and Dolph Lundgren is reprising his Rocky IV role as hulking Russian pugilist Ivan Drago, this time training his son Viktor, played by Florian "The Big Nasty" Munteanu. Steven Caple Jr. takes over directing chores from Ryan Coogler, who is an executive producer on the movie.
As mentioned, the trailer will step into the 'net ring tomorrow, while Creed II arrives in cinemas on 21 November in the US and 30 November here.
