Drawing healthy reviews and plenty of buzz from its Cannes launch, Steven Spielberg's latest family adventure, The BFG has a new trailer online. Take a look below.

For this one, we're firmly in Giant Country, a place dominated by the hulking, nasty likes of Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement), Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Bonecruncher. They're as much a threat to the giant we'll come to know as the BFG (Mark Rylance) as they are to young Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), because they tower over him and treat him as the "runt".

While they hunt and eat humans, the BFG has a different outlook on life – he prefers to catch dreams and pipe them into sleeping kids' rooms. Thus the stage is set for a magical adventure that takes in both our world and the giants' realm. Utilising performance capture technology to bring the giants to life, Spielberg has crafted something special, at least according to the reactions so far.

With Rebecca Hall, Penelope Wilton and Rafe Spall also in the cast, the film itself will arrive in UK cinemas on July 22.
