He's on our screens now in Their Finest, but for a future job, Sam Claflin will be mixing things up with a little more action. He's locked in for the lead in crime thriller Semper Fi.

Henry-Alex Rubin, who was nominated for an Oscar for 2005's Murderball and last made Disconnect, has written and will direct this new one. Claflin is starring as a straight-arrow cop whose brother has been found guilty of killing a man during a bar fight. Clearly our hero thinks there is something suspect about the conviction, as he decides to break his bro out of the slammer with the help of some fellow Marine Corps reservists.

The cameras will start to roll this summer in Vancouver. Claflin has a few movies on the way, including the new version of My Cousin Rachel, due on 9 June, play adaptation Journey's End and he's working on Jennifer Kent's new crime drama Nightingale.
