Ben Edlund's The Tick is making its return to television via a new pilot being produced for Amazon Studios, and now we know who will be playing the man in blue: British actor Peter Serafinowicz.

Serafinowicz is assuming the role previously voiced by Townsend Coleman in the 1994 animated series (which ran for three seasons) and played by Patrick Warburton (back as an executive producer for this version) in the 2001 live action version, which, unfortunately, lasted only nine episodes).

In this new pilot, The Tick is suffering from amnesia when he is reunited with Arthur (Griffin Newman), his sidekick, and the two begin to fight evil again. The only other character announced so far is Arthur's sister, Dot (Valorie Curry).

Serafinowicz' past credits include Guardians Of The Galaxy and Shaun Of The Dead. Additionally, he voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The pilot is being written by Edlund, with Inception's Wally Pfister serving as director.
