Looking to keep her career cooking, Natalie Dormer co-wrote a new thriller with Anthony Byrne, who directed the result. And now, after a short wait, we can see the fruit of their labours, thanks to the first trailer for In Darkness.

Dormer stars as blind pianist Sofia, who overhears a struggle in the apartment above hers that leads to the death of her neighbour, Veronique (Emily Ratajkowski). It's the start of a journey that pushes Sofia out of her depth and into contact with Veronique’s father, Milos Radic (Jan Bijvoet), a Serbian businessman and alleged war criminal accused of committing acts of genocide during the Bosnian war, who is now living in London under political asylum. Unknowingly, Sofia risks her life in search of answers, and is plunged into a shady underworld of corruption, violence and blackmail...

Ed Skrein and Joely Richardson are also in the cast for the film, which will hit US cinemas on 25 May but is still waiting to lock in a UK release date.
