The Alien: Covenant team, lead by director Ridley Scott has been been hard at work on the new film. Several images from the film have been released, including this shot of Katherine Waterston. Now comes one of Scott at work and, looking much more whole than the last time we saw him, Michael Fassbender's android.

Covenant's story finds the colony ship headed for a remote planet, a place that the crew initially thinks is an uncharted paradise but turns out to be... well, not that. And the only inhabitant is synthetic life form David, who claims to be the lone survivor of the Prometheus mission. Is he telling the truth? Well, given that Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw is apparently not returning for this one, he's right, even if he might not be telling the whole story, the sneak.

Scott, working this time from a script by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, has Waterston, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and Danny McBride aboard. Alien: Covenant will land here on August 4 next year.
