Some stories are so crazy when you hear them, it's hard to believe they actually took place. But such is the case with Gold, which finds Matthew McConaughey on a man on a risky and legally dubious mission to score riches. We've been given an exclusive peek at the new UK poster for the movie, so take a look...

Stephen Gaghan's latest film is based loosely on the 1993 Bre-X Corporation mining scandal. The plot follows a rough-around-the-edges prospector Kenny Wells (McConaughey) as he and his geologist companion Michael Acosta (Edgar Ramírez) stumble upon one of the largest gold mines in the world in the Indonesian jungle.

But if the movies have taught us anything it’s that if it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. Sure enough, Wells’ haul soon attracts attention, and things spiral into a mess involving Wall Street, the FBI and the Indonesian military.

Gold will be glinting away in our cinemas on 3 February. The most recent UK trailer can be found lurking below...
