Having worked together on the still-untitled AA Milne biopic, it seems Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie will be reunited for the new Peter Rabbit – even if they won't actually share the screen. Robbie is in talks to lend her voice to the Beatrix Potter adaptation.

Described as a modern interpretation of Potter's story about the mischievous Peter (he'll be CG and voiced by James Corden) and his attempts to steal vegetables from the angry Mr. McGregor (Gleeson, working on screen), the film will see CG creatures share scenes with human characters.

Robbie is joining Corden in the voice ranks alongside Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki, while Rose Byrne is on board to play a human named Bea. Nothing is confirmed about Robbie's role, though The Hollywood Reporter has leaned she'll be playing a rabbit.

Will Gluck is on board to direct and Australian effects outfit Animal Logic is providing the CG bestiary. Following films such as Suicide Squad this year, Robbie will be back on screens in a thriller called Terminal, which has yet to announce a release date. And Peter won't be her first voice job - she's part of the cast for Larrikins, due out on 15 February, 2018.
