The title Flammable Children doesn't naturally strike us as the herald of hilarious comedy but this Aussie film is looking to prove us wrong. With Radha Mitchell already in the cast, Stephan Elliott's latest has expanded to include Guy Pearce and Kylie Minogue.

Which means, trivia fans, that this will mark their first time working properly together since the days of Neighbours. All we want now is for Bouncer and Joe Mangel to show up.

Flammable Children is set in 1975 as a constitutional crisis is underway in Australia. The film is a satire focusing on two teenagers who experience a life-changing week as the sexual revolution hits Down Under (pun only partly intended).

As well as Pearce, Elliott has rounded up some of the crew who worked with him on The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert including production designer Colin Gibson and costume designer Lizzy Gardiner. The cameras will roll this autumn in Australia.

Pearce has worked on director Drake Doremus' latest, sci-fi drama Equals and is playing F. Scott Fitzgerald in Genius. Minogue was last seen in San Andreas and had a role on US TV musical comedy Galavant.
