Elvis & Nixon

Michael Shannon as Elvis Presley? Kevin Spacey as Richard Nixon? Sure, we can see that. And now you can actually see it with the upcoming Elvis & Nixon, which has a new trailer online.

The setting here is December 1970 as the King shows up at the gate of the White House to request a meeting with his Commander In Chief, Richard M. Nixon. Turns out Presley wants Nixon to make him an undercover agent in the fight against Communism, and what happened after that would seem ridiculously made up if there weren't accounts from the White House archives and one of the most famous photographs of all time to document the event.

Boasting an eclectic cast that also includes Colin Hanks, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Knoxville, Evan Peters and Sky Ferreira, Elvis & Nixon comes from Hateship Loveship director Lisa Johnson, working from a script by Joey and Hanala Sahal and Cary Elwes. The film has shifted its UK release slightly and will now be out on June 24. Elvis has left the building... Wait, no, he's come back in to grab a biscuit. Now he's gone.
