Jon Bernthal joins crime thriller Stingray

Whether playing Charlie Cox’s nemesis in Daredevil or trying to throttle Emily Blunt in Sicario, Jon Bernthal has serious form when it comes to crime – and he’s just signed on for another thriller of the criminal variety, Stingray.

The second feature film from Australian actor/director Anthony Hayes – a man who has played officers of the law in Ned Kelly, Animal Kingdom and The Light Between Oceans – the film (which Hayes is also writing) will see Bernthal’s character caught up in a blood debt after killing the brother of a notorious criminal, meaning he’ll have to bump off one of his own family. We’re guessing it won’t be his nan...

Bernthal can currently be seen in The Accountant, and will pop up in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver and his very own Netflix Punisher series next year. Stingray starts filming in April.
