Ice Age: Collision Course

By now you'll have seen at least a couple of teasers or trailers, so you'll know it's pretty much business as usual round the Ice Age way for Collision Course. By which we of course mean there's the threat of extinction and a lot of gags. Check out the latest, which adds more of the laughs and references.

Yes, because the gang is once more facing a mammoth – sorry, Manny – problem, this time a hail of deadly asteroids caused by the typical madness of Scrat's hunt for an acorn, there are of course references to movies such as Armageddon and other disaster titles. And though you might be wondering why there's still room for this lot on movie screens, don't forget that this is a hardy perennial franchise, which makes money hand over fist. Or paw.

So we find Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), Sid (John Leguizamo) and their ever-increasing herd of family and friends heading off to try to figure out how to stop this new cosmic problem. They'll get help (or hinderance) this time from the likes of Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Nick Offerman. And could there be love in the offing for Sid at last?

Ice Age: Collision Course will be out in the UK on July 15.
