Psychological mystery thriller The 9th Life Of Louis Drax has been stuck in a similar limbo to its titular main character, awaiting release since it was shot in 2014. Now it's finally on the way, and has a first trailer out, which sees Jamie Dornan investigating what happened to the lad.

The film tells the story of Louis, a boy in a coma (Aiden Longworth from Hector And The Search For Happiness) whose mental journeys tease some striking visuals as his mind protects itself by projecting fantastic imagery. By his bedside is Dornan’s neurologist, Dr. Allan Pascal, who fights to awaken him from his comatose state. The twist? Louis’s injured state may not have been an accident. Aaron Paul, Louis’ dad, is prime suspect after the clifftop fall that now threatens his life.

Alexandre Aja is the man bringing the visions to life as director, with a script by Max Minghella, who took the project over when his father Anthony died before he could make the film. Sarah Gadon, Molly Parker, Oliver Platt and Barbara Hershey fill out the other main roles and the film will be out in the UK in September.
