He's spent the last few years making bigger movies including The Man From UNCLE, King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword and the upcoming live-action Aladdin for Disney. But it appears that Guy Ritchie is ready to get back to the genre that launched him, targeting London crime drama Toff Guys as his next film.

Ritchie wrote the script with Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson, and he'll also produce what Deadline has heard will be a blend of Sexy Beast and, er, Downton Abbey as a very upright English drug lord attempts to cash out his profitable empire by selling it to a family of Oklahoma billionaires. We'd expect the usual collection of motley characters and, with any luck, a collection of new faces and some of his old friends showing up.

The rights to this one will be on sale at Cannes, and Ritchie will likely get to work as soon as he's finished Aladdin (and possibly before, squeezing the new movie in between editing and release). That one will be in cinemas in May next year.
