You would think that, with the Beeb getting ready to debut its period take on HG Wells' classic alien invasion tale War Of The Worlds, it would mean a veto on other versions for now. Not so! Greg Kinnear is in talks to star in yet another adaptation.
This one comes from Fox Networks Group Europe and Africa, with the plan to be a modern-day re-telling of Wells' nervy tale, much as with Steven Spielberg's 2005 film.
Misfits' Howard Overman wrote the script for the miniseries, but the rest of the details are still under wraps, beyond the fact that it'll start shooting next year.
Kinnear, who is part of the cast for the current (final) season of House Of Cards, will also be seen in The Red Sea Diving Resort and Strange But True.
