She was one of the leads for the first two seasons of 13 Reasons Why and Katherine Langford is returning to the Netflix fold for a new series called Cursed.

The show comes via Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller, who collaborated on the original YA book (Wheeler wrote, Miller illustrated) and will handle the adaptation alongside Zetna Fuentes, on to direct the first two episodes.

Cursed aims to put a properly new spin on the well-used King Arthur story, re-setting the narrative from the point of view of Langford's Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who has a destiny to become the Lady of the Lake. Netflix's own press release on the matter describes it this way: "a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible." So now you know. The book is to be published next year; the show, given that it's at an early stage, doesn't have a date yet.

Langford most recently worked on sci-fi tale Spontaneous, which should be out in 2019.
