After battling the Empire in Rogue One (and coincidentally winning an Empire Award for her efforts), Felicity Jones is now attached to something with less interstellar conflict and more magic. She's on to star in a new cinematic take on Swan Lake.

Originally composed as a ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the story follows a princess named Odette who is turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse. The new pitch, written by Kristina Lauren Anderson, is inspired by the original, but won't be a musical. Luca Guadagnino, who is winning praise for Call Me By Your Name and is putting to finishing touches to a new version of Suspiria, has signed on to direct.

This is a package of talent and script that has several studios putting in bids, so expect it to find a home soon. Jones is voicing Rogue One's Jyn Erso for a Star Wars: Forces Of Destiny short, while Call Me By Your Name arrives on UK screens on 27 October.
