The latest attempt by Disney to convert one of its cartoon back catalogue into a live-action experience comes via director Bill Condon.
We're promised that Watson's heroine is a little more forthright in her backstory, but there will be the same tale of a cursed prince (Dan Stevens) who has to find love or he'll stay that way forever. How convenient that someone such as Belle should come into his life...
There are the usual animated objects (members of the prince's household who are subject to the same curse) and challenges such as Luke Evans' blustery love rival, Gaston.
This new Beauty And The Beast will be out on 17 March next year.
