Michael Sheen voicing a role in Finding Dory

With the film headed for our cinemas in July, it seems a little late to be learning of new voice cast members for Finding Dory. But changes and additions are hardly a new concept for Pixar or other animation teams, so we're ready to believe Michael Sheen when he says he's part of the sequel's line-up.

Talking on the Doug Loves Movies podcast, Sheen let slip that he's in the film, though didn't elaborate on what role he might be lending his tonsil talents to. There's a chance he could be re-voicing a character for the UK release, but that sort of thing is usually limited to minor characters (such as Jonathan Ross taking over the part of an Ugly Stepsister from Larry King for the British release of Shrek 2). So we'll have to wait and see (or rather, hear) on that.

Finding Dory, of course, follows the further adventures of the forgetful blue tang voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. In the story, Dory heads off on quest to find her parents and ends up at a research facility on the California coast. The film lands in the US on June 17 and is out here on July 29.

Sheen will be heard in another Disney voice role, as he's returning to play the White Rabbit in Alice Through The Looking Glass (out May 27) and is a robot character in the Jennifer Lawrence/Chris Pratt sci-fi drama Passengers, due December 23.
