Delayed for several months due to the accident that left leading man Dylan O'Brien recuperating from some serious injuries, the third – and reportedly final – of the Maze Runner films, The Death Cure, is headed our way next year. Below, you can watch the first trailer.

In this latest adventure, Thomas (O'Brien) leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.

Book readers are, as usual, ahead of the game of this front, but we will finally get some cinematic answers as the story wraps up. Wes Ball returns to direct again, with Kaya Scodelario, Katherine Emmanuel, Rosa Salazar and Walton Goggins all in the cast.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure will be out in the UK on 9 February next year.
