Celebrating one of its best years already, the Blumhouse production team is going full steam ahead on some new movies. And it has announced that Storm Reid will be seen in thriller Only You alongside David Oyelowo.
Jacob Estes wrote the script for this one and is directing for the first time since 2011's The Details. Talking of details, there aren't that many around for the new Blumhouse entry, save that it finds Oyelowo as a police office whose family was killed and must make sure his niece (Reid) is safe in a story that involves time travel.
The cameras started rolling on Monday and the film has yet to announce a release date. Reid will appear in the biggest film of her career to date next year, when she stars in A Wrinkle In Time, due on 23 March.
In related Blumhouse news, Deadline reports that the company has also cast Aurora Perrineau in Truth Or Dare, another horror thriller, which Jeff Wadlow is directing from a script he wrote with Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
Lucy Hale stars as a college student who is visiting Mexico when she's conned into playing a supernatural version of the titular game, but discovers that the game doesn't end when she and her friends (including Perrineau) return home. That one is also shooting, ready for a 2018 release.
Perrineau was last seen in Passengers and Equals and will also appear in comedy drama Virginia Minnesota.
