He brought Lego Batman to the screen and he's in the early stages of a Nightwing film for DC and Warner Bros. It appears that director Chris McKay is still in the market for other jobs, as he's now making a deal to handle Dungeons And Dragons for Paramount.

Toy company Hasbro has been spearheading the development of the new film based on the legendary fantasy games, but there have been some wobbles along the way, including a lawsuit over sequel rights and a switch in studios. Hasbro has its AllSpark Pictures arm working on various movies based on toy products, and all involved will be hoping this version of a Dungeons film turns out better than the infamously dodgy 2000 effort.

No details have been revealed about the story for this one, which had David Leslie Johnson on script duty but is now in the hands of Michael Gillio. Can it roll a saving throw? Given that there have been other directors (such as Rob Letterman) attached before, the answer seems to be: wait and see.
