Yesterday brought a glimpse of the Zords from the new Power Rangers movie, but what of the droid? That would be Alpha 5, the chatty, supportive robot who works with the powerful Zordon and aids the Rangers. Now we know that Bill Hader will be performing the voice of the 'bot.

The move makes sense – Hader has plenty of history with voice-over roles, including work for Pixar (Inside Out) the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs movies, Sausage Party, and providing the fight voice for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

With Bryan Cranston voicing Zordon and Elizabeth Banks physically present as villain Rita Repulsa, the movie will find the Rangers battling Rita's evil schemes and defending the Earth while figuring out their own teenage issues.

Power Rangers will be out in the UK on March 24 next year. Hader has recently moved into directing with Barry for HBO, and is also back on US TV screens in spoof doc show Documentary Now!
