All of the nominated films - from Up to Inglourious Basterds - earned their nominations, but we're sure one could have been squeezed out to find room for Scott Neustadter and Michael H Webber's script, which danced around rom-com clich�s and refused to fall into the standard narrative traps while deploying an array of stylish tricks. While credit's also due to director Marc Webb and leads Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, it all springs from a great screenplay.
