WHY HE WILL WIN Receiving acclaim from all angles for his long awaited comeback film, there has never been a role so tailor made for an actor than struggling Wrestler Randy The Ram Robinson was for former boxer and oft-struggling star Rourke. What's more, he's gone out and worked awards season, charming most of a town he once alienated.

WHY HE WON'T WIN The film didn't get nominated for much else, which might be a sign that the voters don't rate his performance (the meat of the whole thing) as highly as, say, the Golden Globes did. Also, Sean Penn beat him at the SAG awards, and the SAG membership overlaps the Academy far more than the Globes does.
