New After Earth Pics Land
Zoe Kravitz & Sophie Okonedo in close-up

We’ve gotten used to the trailers and imagery of M Night Shyamalan’s After Earth focusing on Wil Smith and son/co-star Jaden Smith. That's logical, of course, because they take up the lion’s share of the screen time. Now, however, new pics have arrived courtesy of Blackfilm, giving some eye-time to Zoe Kravitz and Sophie Okonedo. Take a look in the gallery below.

After Earth finds wannabe warrior Kitai Raige (Jaden) and his father, military legend Cypher (Will Smith) attempting to bond during a routine space flight.

A catastrophic accident leaves the rest of the crew dead and their ship crash-landed on one of the most hostile places possible: Earth. See, 1,000 years ago, humanity left when the planet became uninhabitable following a series of huge environmental problems.

With Cypher badly injured, it’s up to Kitai to embark on a perilous journey to seek out the distress beacon so they can be rescued. He’ll have to face the planet’s threats and an even more dangerous alien that got loose during the crash. Okonedo plays Smith’s wife, while Kravitz is their eldest daughter.

The movie arrives on June 7. The trailer is very real below. Watching it is a choice.

It makes no sense!
If humanity left Earth then how can all the planet's life have evolved to kill humans? Humans haven't been around ... how does a species evolve to kill another species that it hasn't met? And how can they evolve that way in 1,000 years? Evolution takes millions of years, not hundreds. More
